Spiritual Growth Seasons

Spiritual Growth Seasons
Spiritual Growth Seasons

Every chosen one moves through spiritual seasons just as the earth moves through its own seasons. But the spiritual growth seasons are marked by divine timing, by the lessons your soul must embrace, and by the growth you are called to undergo.

I wish I was aware of these seasons earlier in my spiritual awakening journey.

Knowing your season is like holding a spiritual map. It helps you walk with confidence instead of confusion. Many chosen ones feel lost because they have not yet decoded their current season.

When you understand the season you are in, you stop fighting against the flow and start moving with it. You stop questioning every delay, every challenge, every moment of silence from the universe. And you begin to see the purpose hidden within the process.

Each season serves you, shapes you, and sharpens you for the calling you carry. Seasons are perfectly timed by the Universe. Each one building upon the other. Do not compare your season to someone else’s. Comparison is a thief of clarity. What matters is not the pace but the purpose. Trust the timing of your life because it is directed by divine hands. Seasons can overlap. Here is a brief description of the seasons:

Seasons:

  • Preparation

  • Testing

  • Revelation

  • Warfare

  • Harvest

The Season of Preparation -If you are in a season of preparation, you may feel unseen, even forgotten. But this isn’t punishment. It is the sacred time when the universe works on your foundation. This is the beginning of the internal transformation process where illusions, false identities and relationships are stripped away and where your roots grow deep like seeds that grow in hidden places before the tree rises above the soil. In this season, you are being equipped with the wisdom, patience, and strength you will need for the assignments ahead. Embrace this season fully. Do not rush it. Trust that what is being built in silence will one day speak loudly in your purpose. This season is also referred to as being in the wilderness (being set apart) or the pruning season (when relationships fall away).

The Season of Testing. This is when your faith is refined like gold in fire. Challenges rise, obstacles seem unending, and you are pushed to your limits. Testing is the universe’s way of proving your strength. Not to break you, but to reveal to you what has always been within you. You are stronger than you know. This is the fiery season of refining your character, purifying your motives, and creating a posture that can carry the weight of the glory God has planned for you.

The Season of Revelation -This is when clarity floods your spirit. What was once confusing becomes clear. The direction you prayed for begins to unfold. This is the time to write down the insights you receive. These revelations are divine blueprints for your next steps. Speak them out loud to yourself but resist the urge to share them with others prematurely. You are not left to wander blindly. In this season, the path is illuminated before you. Build quietly. Let your results speak.

Seasons of Warfare. These are intense and often exhausting. You feel spiritual pressure, attacks on your mind, your energy, and your purpose. The enemy will try to discredit you, distract you, discourage you, or pull you into battles that are not yours to fight. It looks like anxiety spikes, doubt flooding your mind, relationships getting strained, emotional heaviness, unexpected obstacles, and things breaking. It can also look like someone close to you using words laced with fear, confusion, or manipulation. Ephesians 6:12 Apostle Paul explains that spiritual warfare is not against human beings. Instead, believers fight against invisible spiritual forces, including principalities, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places. The warfare is against Satan and his demonic forces to pull down strongholds that are enslaving people in fear and darkness. It is not against the people who may be causing the trouble and unknowingly being used as pawns. Understand that these seasons come because you are advancing into new territory. Darkness does not attack what it does not fear. The very presence of resistance is proof of your progress. Stand firm. Arm yourself with prayer (the armor of God), with spiritual wisdom, and with unwavering faith. Remember you are fighting from victory not for victory (even if you can't see the victory in your physical circumstances yet), but you must hold your ground and command the enemy to leave. This is where you are trained to take each thought captive and to exercise your spiritual authority over dark forces.

Seasons of Harvest -this is the time of reaping what you have sown in faithfulness. Doors open, opportunities arise, and blessings flow. But remain humble. Give thanks to God who carried you through every other season to reach this moment. Recognize that your harvest is not only for you, but for those you are called to uplift and inspire.

You can experience several seasons at the same time. You may experience revelation in the midst of warfare as an example. This is the beauty of divine orchestration. It is layered, rich, and always purposeful. You are walking through your spiritual seasons not as a victim of circumstance, but as a victor of divine timing. Every moment, every challenge, every breakthrough is part of your becoming. Stay connected to the Source and you will never lose your way. This is your journey and you are walking it exactly as you were meant to.
